Househam to launch the new PREDATOR self-propelled sprayer at CEREALS, on Stand No. 44

Househam's all-new PREDATOR self-propelled sprayer will be making its UK debut on Stand No. 44 at this year's Cereals event being held at Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire on 14th and 15th June.

Designed and manufactured to meet the needs of farmers and contractors for a British-built high capacity, high specification machine capable of using the latest large wheel and tyre technology, the all-new PREDATOR from Househam is set to make its mark on the self-propelled sprayer market in a big way.

A new chassis, specially developed for the PREDATOR, is fitted with Michelin SprayBib 380/90 R46 rowcrop tyres. Alternatively, the machine can also be specified with Michelin 650/60 R38 low ground pressure tyres. Ground clearances are 1.10 and 1.05 metres respectively.

"For some time now, the PREDATOR has been the focus of an intensive research and development effort here at Househam, which has been supported by valuable contributions from the farming and operator community. It is an important and exciting addition to the Househam self-propelled range and will allow us to compete strongly with the bigger, high capacity, high specification imported machines at the top end of the market. We believe the PREDATOR compares very favourably indeed with other machines in this sector, not just in terms of technology and equipment, but also in terms of price," says Househam managing director, Robert Willey.

Stability and manoeuvrability are outstanding for such a big machine. And because, at around just 10,000kg unladen, the PREDATOR is lighter than other sprayers of a similar size, ground pressure is significantly reduced.

The PREDATOR on show at CEREALS has a 5000-litre capacity stainless steel spray tank. A 4000-litre model is also available and larger tank sizes are planned for the future. Boom choices range from 24 to 36 metres and include twin-fold and tri-fold designs.

The PREDATOR comes with a host of advanced features as standard such as Individual Nozzle Control (INC), Auto Nozzle Select (ANS), a new fully active hydraulic suspension system, Househam's Total Machine Control (TMC) V5 controller with FieldMaster GPS mapping and guidance, load sense hydraulics, NORAC variable geometry boom levelling, the Househam Intelligent Transmission System (HITS), full machine illumination package and a high output centrifugal pump with auto-priming.

Delivering impressive power and fuel efficiency, the 230hp 4-cylinder MTU engine is rear mounted, optimising weight distribution and reducing in-cab noise. On the road, the PREDATOR is capable of speeds up to 50km/hr whilst, in the field, a 2-speed cruise control system further enhances machine operation and operator comfort.

Spacious and fully air-conditioned the PREDATOR's comfortable and superbly appointed Category 4, ROPS-approved cab provides panoramic visibility. Features include a high back Grammer air suspension seat, fold-away buddy seat, DAB radio and CD with Bluetooth, electric mirrors and reversing camera.
