Predator impresses at Sprayer Demo Day debut

The team at Househam was out in force at this year’s Sprayer Demo Day this week, beating the snow to showcase our latest self-propelled machines

The one-day event, held at the Warter Priory Estate, North Dalton, brings together all the big players in the spraying industry. Our recently launched Predator made its debut this year, being demoed alongside our popular SPIRIT MKII model (pictured, right) – both designed and manufactured in Lincolnshire.

Together, the pair showed the hundreds of attendees just how versatile the Househam range of sprayers really is.

“It was a really good day all round. The weather held out for us and we were demonstrating solidly all day. The big benefit of the Demo Day for farmers is that they get to see the whole sprayer market in one place on one day to find the machine that’s right for them. The Predator and the Spirit are two very different beasts, suitable for different types of farms but both contain the trademark tech and innovation that our customers have come to expect. If anyone missed the day but would like to book a demo for themselves, they should get in touch.”
Toby Corsan, product manager, Househam Sprayers

The Predator that was being demoed was the 230hp, 4-cylinder MTU engine model with the 5,000-litre spray tank and 36-metre boom. A 4,000-litre tank is also available. Weighing in at just 10,440kg unladen, it’s lighter than other sprayers in its class while still designed for use with the latest large wheel and tyre technology to significantly reduce ground pressure.

Other Predator features include Level 4 filtration system in the cab, Individual Nozzle Control (INC), Auto Nozzle Select (ANS), fully active hydraulic suspension and Househam’s Total Machine Control (TMC) V5 Controller with FieldMaster GPS mapping and guidance, plus much more. On the road, the Predator is capable of speeds up to 50km/hr whilst, in the field, a 2-speed cruise control system further enhances machine operation and operator comfort.
