Join the Househam Team as a Fitter
Are you passionate about agricultural machinery with a strong mechanical engineering background? We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team and help assemble Househam crop sprayer models to customer specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components to create top-tier Househam crop sprayers, delivering finished products that exceed customer expectations.
- Focus on continuous improvement to meet production targets, always aiming for the highest quality standards.
- Represent the Househam brand with professionalism and pride.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, always adhering to health and safety practices.
- Follow company guidelines and collaborate with your Line Manager to discuss and implement improvements.
- Conduct regular quality checks, promptly addressing any defects or issues with the product.
- Strive for cost-effective and time-efficient production to maximize profitability.
- Share knowledge and skills with colleagues to foster team growth and improve overall performance.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, using appropriate equipment and systems to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Appropriate mechanical engineering qualification desirable.
- Previous experience in a mechanical engineering environment is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, hydrostatic systems, and electrical systems desirable.
- Experience using fork-lifts / telehandlers and hand power tools.
- Understanding of reading technical drawings desirable.
- Abrasive Wheels desirable.
