We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at our Woodhall Spa site.
This is a key leadership role responsible not only for new machine production, but also for overseeing our pre-owned workshop, managing the refurbishment of trade-in crop sprayers to the highest standards.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and at the right cost.
You will lead both new build production and refurbishment operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across all output streams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the full production process for new-build crop sprayers
- Managing the refurbishment of pre-owned machines within the workshop
- Developing and maintaining production schedules across both areas
- Ensuring products are manufactured and refurbished efficiently, on time, and to required quality standards
- Managing human and material resources to meet production targets
- Monitoring production performance and adjusting schedules where required
- Implementing and maintaining quality control processes
- Driving cost reduction and productivity improvements
- Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met
- Leading, motivating, and developing production and workshop teams
- Conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs
- Liaising with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
 Skills & Experience
 Essential:
- Proven experience in a production management role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent leadership and team management capability
- Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Strong communication and delegation skills
- Ability to manage multiple production streams and priorities
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge of agricultural machinery or similar industries
- Experience with refurbishment, rebuild, or remanufacturing operations
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
