Family effort for ultimate Peak District challenge

Our HR manager Dani Pole is taking part in a mammoth 100km continuous challenge on 13 and 14 July 2019.

The 100km ‘Bakewell Full Loop’ features an elevation of 2450m in total and involves a lot of tough hiking across the Derbyshire Peak District. The family team are hoping to complete the challenge in under 30 hours.

The team of five, which includes Dani, her husband Dave, brother in law Chris and best friends Rhianna and Tom, have been training for weeks to complete the challenge which will raise money for Sarcoma UK.

Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focussed on types of Sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It’s one of the hardest to diagnose and difficult to treat.

“Donating to the cause will help to fund vital research projects looking for better treatments,” says Dani.

British sprayer manufacturer appoints new product support engineer

We’ve appointed a product support engineer to boost new product development and enhance our strong customer support offering.

Cristi Sava joins Househam from a leading Romanian dealership, bringing with him practical and technical expertise as well as specific knowledge of Househam machines.

“Househam is a highly respected brand in the Romanian agricultural community and I’ve worked closely with the UK team for the last few years,” says Cristi.

“I came to the UK in January for product training and when I was offered the position later this year I was pleased to accept,” he says.

Cristi has moved to the UK permanently to fulfil the position and works in the area of product support and research and development to develop innovative new machines.

“Househam sprayers are good machines, easy to maintain and are very user friendly,” adds Cristi.

Robert Willey, managing director of Househam, says: “As we grow as a business, we continue to invest in the best talent to look after our valued customers. Cristi’s knowledge and experience will help to maintain the high quality of service and his practical knowledge and out of the box thinking is well placed for further research and development in our continued mission to improve our high quality product offering. He also brings language skills to Househam, which strengthen our continued mission to grow our global business.”

Long-term support in turbulent times from British manufacturer

British spraying manufacturer, Househam, is launching a new customised product support package at Cereals 2019.

Designed to reassure customers that there will be long-term care in an uncertain agricultural climate, with continuity of parts and maintenance, the five-year product support package will result in increased productivity and reduced costs.

“We’re positive that we will have continuity of supply and services going forward, whatever the political outcome, and launching a personalised support package for our 100% British-manufactured sprayers will help farmers to get even better value and longevity from the machines,” says Robert Willey, Househam managing director.

“The initiative will give new customers access to expert advice from trained technicians, replacement of wear parts and competitive prices for original parts as well as routine maintenance guidance,” says Robert.

As well as launching the package, the Lincolnshire-based machinery supplier will be demonstrating its full range of UK-engineered and operator-inspired machines on stand 800 at the show, including working demonstrations in the sprayer’s arena.

Robert Willey, managing director of Househam, said: “Cereals is a highlight in our calendar every year, and it’s a must for any agricultural business. We’ll have our full range of self-propelled sprayers on display, demonstrating our industry leading technology in the arena so farmers can see first-hand the efficiency of our future-proofed machinery.”

Househam has introduced a number of advanced machines in the last two years, including the operator-inspired HARRIER, launched at Cereals 2018. The ‘next generation’ machine comes fitted with Househam’s trademark Total Machine Control (TMC) V3 and FieldMaster GPS advanced on-board operating system, delivering what its makers believe to be the most efficient and precise sprayer application in its class.

Featured at Cereals 2019 will be the popular SPIRIT which was updated last year to fill a significant gap in the market for high technology, low weight, entry-level self-propelled machines. The company is also showcasing some of its best-selling, highly versatile Air Ride models, which promise to boost on-farm productivity.

Also appearing at the show will be the PREDATOR, weighing 10,440 kg unladen, it’s the biggest machine in the Househam range. Launched in 2017, it’s lighter than other sprayers in its class while still using the latest large wheel and tyre technology to reduce ground pressure.

Househam’s latest innovations include level 4 filtration system in the cab, Individual Nozzle Control (INC), Auto Nozzle Select (ANS) and Househam’s Total Machine Control (TMC) V5 Controller with FieldMaster GPS mapping and guidance, available subject to model specifications.

Visitors going to Cereals 2019 can contact Househam in advance to meet the team at the show. For more details about Cereals 2019 or to buy tickets, visit cerealsevent.co.uk/.
