We’ll be at Cereals 2018 with our strongest ever range of
Here’s what you can see at the show. The Househam team will be demonstrating our full range of UK-engineered machines at the show at Chrishall Grange, near Duxford, on June 13th-14th, including working demonstrations in the sprays and sprayer arena and special announcements on the day.
On stand 800 this year, We will be displaying the 230 hp model of the PREDATOR with 5,000-litre, stainless steel spray tank and 36-metre, tri-fold boom. Launched last year and weighing just 10,440kg unladen, it’s lighter than other sprayers in its class while still using the latest large wheel and tyre technology to reduce ground pressure.
“We’ve been exhibiting at Cereals for years – there’s no better event in the farming calendar and it’s a must for any agricultural business. By having our full range of sprayers on show we can demonstrate our different models, all suitable for different types of farms but each with the trademark expertise and innovation that our customers have come to expect.”

Also on show will be our recently updated SPIRIT, the popular lightweight machine in its class. Our latest innovations include level 4 filtration system in the cab, Individual Nozzle Control (INC), Auto Nozzle Select (ANS) and Househam’s Total Machine Control (TMC) V5 Controller with FieldMaster GPS mapping and guidance, available subject to model specifications.
“We’ll be there for 2018 with our latest self-propelled sprayers, demonstrating in the arena to show farmers the technology and efficiency of our future-proofed machinery that’s designed and built in Lincolnshire. We’re exciting to be sharing our newest machinery with Cereals visitors before anyone else.”

The machinery experts at Farmers Guardian have put the Predator through its paces for their latest first drive feature
The full field test was the most in-depth demo we’ve done yet. Published last week, the article reviewed how the Predator performed in all of the areas where sprayer operators need reliability and performance. Launched last year, the Predator is the largest, most advanced machine in the Househam range and, as the feature says, “will appeal to the most tech-savvy operators”
“We have developed the Predator as a top-spec self-propelled with a very high level of standard specification, and a price tag which starts below £200,000 for a 4,000-litre/24m version. This simplifies the buying process and streamlines production. If we are not building bespoke models with individual specifications, we can reduce build times, increase our production and shorten delivery times. We have developed Predator so it treads lightly – it weighs about 10t un-laden,” he says. “That means a generous reduction in ground pressure for a sprayer of this size and capacity.”

The team at Househam was out in force at this year’s Sprayer Demo Day this week, beating the snow to showcase our latest self-propelled machines
The one-day event, held at the Warter Priory Estate, North Dalton, brings together all the big players in the spraying industry. Our recently launched Predator made its debut this year, being demoed alongside our popular SPIRIT MKII model (pictured, right) – both designed and manufactured in Lincolnshire.
Together, the pair showed the hundreds of attendees just how versatile the Househam range of sprayers really is.
“It was a really good day all round. The weather held out for us and we were demonstrating solidly all day. The big benefit of the Demo Day for farmers is that they get to see the whole sprayer market in one place on one day to find the machine that’s right for them. The Predator and the Spirit are two very different beasts, suitable for different types of farms but both contain the trademark tech and innovation that our customers have come to expect. If anyone missed the day but would like to book a demo for themselves, they should get in touch.”

The Predator that was being demoed was the 230hp, 4-cylinder MTU engine model with the 5,000-litre spray tank and 36-metre boom. A 4,000-litre tank is also available. Weighing in at just 10,440kg unladen, it’s lighter than other sprayers in its class while still designed for use with the latest large wheel and tyre technology to significantly reduce ground pressure.
Other Predator features include Level 4 filtration system in the cab, Individual Nozzle Control (INC), Auto Nozzle Select (ANS), fully active hydraulic suspension and Househam’s Total Machine Control (TMC) V5 Controller with FieldMaster GPS mapping and guidance, plus much more. On the road, the Predator is capable of speeds up to 50km/hr whilst, in the field, a 2-speed cruise control system further enhances machine operation and operator comfort.
