Waving the flag for British Manufacturing at Agritechnica

Househam Sprayers has recently received from the Department of International Trade and East Lindsey District Council grant funding to attend Agritechnica in Germany later this year. The show is the largest agricultural show in the world and the event takes place every two years.

All the leading companies in the industry will present their innovations at Agritechnica, which is viewed as the showcase for the global agricultural engineering industry and a forum for the future of plant production. More than 2,750 exhibitors will attend from 51 countries and 450,000 visitors from 130 countries are expected to travel in to Hannover in November to do business and to learn about the very latest technological advances in farming engineering. Agritechnica is really where engineering changes and is the meeting place for decision makers.  The team at Househam Sprayers want to expand their global networks.

Agritechnica is the global market place for doing businesses in the agri-sector.   Landowners, farmers, and government officials will all attend the show to find out the very latest technology being used in farming. Househam Sprayers looks to the future as both an influencer and an innovator in this sector.

Portfolio Holder for Rural Economy at East Lindsey District Council, Councillor Adam Grist, said: “Househam Sprayers is an ambitious business with huge potential to develop a wider customer base outside the UK and we hope that attending this show will give them the platform to do just that”.

Agritechnica is held at Hannover Messe, Germany from Sunday 10th November until Saturday 16 November 2019.

Family effort for ultimate Peak District challenge

Our HR manager Dani Pole is taking part in a mammoth 100km continuous challenge on 13 and 14 July 2019.

The 100km ‘Bakewell Full Loop’ features an elevation of 2450m in total and involves a lot of tough hiking across the Derbyshire Peak District. The family team are hoping to complete the challenge in under 30 hours.

The team of five, which includes Dani, her husband Dave, brother in law Chris and best friends Rhianna and Tom, have been training for weeks to complete the challenge which will raise money for Sarcoma UK.

Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focussed on types of Sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It’s one of the hardest to diagnose and difficult to treat.

“Donating to the cause will help to fund vital research projects looking for better treatments,” says Dani.

British sprayer manufacturer appoints new product support engineer

We’ve appointed a product support engineer to boost new product development and enhance our strong customer support offering.

Cristi Sava joins Househam from a leading Romanian dealership, bringing with him practical and technical expertise as well as specific knowledge of Househam machines.

“Househam is a highly respected brand in the Romanian agricultural community and I’ve worked closely with the UK team for the last few years,” says Cristi.

“I came to the UK in January for product training and when I was offered the position later this year I was pleased to accept,” he says.

Cristi has moved to the UK permanently to fulfil the position and works in the area of product support and research and development to develop innovative new machines.

“Househam sprayers are good machines, easy to maintain and are very user friendly,” adds Cristi.
